Homebase Hiring — voice demo

A playable prototype of the marketplace, tailored to three roles — Line Cook, Server, and Cashier. Post a job by talking. Apply and get a real phone call back. And activate Homebase's owned worker graph as a supply engine.

One brain, three transports. The candidate screener runs over a live outbound phone call (Vapi), falls back to SMS when nobody picks up (Twilio), and runs the same conversation in the browser when you'd rather not hand over a phone number. Not three implementations — one, with three front doors.

The browser-voice flows (employer, talent, and the no-phone apply path) need Chrome, and headphones so the spoken replies don't feed back into the mic. The phone call needs neither.

Start here · the proactive partner
Homebase reaches out first →
A shift is about to go unfilled and Homebase already knows. See the push notification land on the owner's phone at 7am — the posting re-drafted, past fits lined up, the owner's job collapsed to a yes. The value move no job board can make.
The no-show fix · conversion, not volume
Confirm the interview before it's a no-show →
Owners lose up to 80% of scheduled interviews to no-shows — even after screening. Put in a number and Homebase calls to re-confirm the time, reschedules the moment it doesn't work, and answers what the candidate needs before they show up: parking, who they're meeting, what to bring. The applicant you already earned, kept.
I'm hiring
Post a job by voice
Pick the role (Line Cook, Server, or Cashier) and talk it through. The assistant asks role-specific questions, builds your posting, and tells you honestly what it takes to get applicants — then opens the job for candidates.
I'm looking for work
Click to apply — we call you back
Pick a job, leave your name and number, skip the resume. The phone rings within seconds and a friendly screener — tailored to that role's real bar — turns the conversation into an application the employer can read in ten seconds. Miss the call and you get a text to try again; your application stays open.

Opt in to get matched — worker activation
Homebase already knows ~20M workers from payroll + scheduling. Invite the ones between jobs to OPT IN (consented, not a cold blast), capture standing availability — location asked first — and match them to network roles anywhere. Every screening call ends by asking the same question, so a candidate who wasn't right for one job becomes supply for the next. Test from any city and you'll always see a match. This is the strategic one.
→ Employer dashboard · 8 open jobs, 8 applications so far (1 screened, 7 still on the phone or waiting on a callback).
→ Supply / acquisition view · Homebase's own GTM surface — opted-in supply as net-new-customer leads. (In-memory — resets on server restart.)
